My first tour

I have finished my first tour and it was awesome! I found out I really love this job, and am not bad at it either. ;)  It is now time to show you all about the perks of being a guide in Canada. I'll post a lot of pictures, I don't think it needs much explaining.
Canada is such an amazing country with so many beautiful corners. And it never gets boring, even the ones I've already seen, they still look different every time again.

The tour schedule of this tour was great: Banff, Jasper, a ranch somewhere near Kleene Kleena, a Wilderness Lodge in the north of Tweedsmuir Park where we flew to with a bush plane, Bella Coola, the Ferry to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, Tofino, Victoria and ending in Vancouver. It was great, most of the credit certainly goes to my guests who made this tour a lot of fun. They were a great group, dynamics were right and everybody got along very well.

Johnston Canyon in the rain
At Lake Louise the clouds started disappearing
giving us an amazing view!
Plain of the six glaciers hike
One of the guests loved to
grill the steaks on the camp fire.
"Hands off Tessa, I'll do this!"

Banana and chocolate served on a piece of wood,
always a hit!
Without wind: Bow Lake is just stunning
Bow Lake and the Crow Foot Glacier in the back
Peyto Lake
(For those who are paying attention,
do you see the difference in colour compared to the picture
I posted 11th of June?)
Always make sure to have a good lunch spot!

Mount Robson without any clouds, that is very rare!

Hike to White Falls
Black bear!
Leaving the Rocky Mountains behind, we were driving west towards the Coast Mountains. We stayed at a Wilderness Lodge for three days and at a ranch with horses for three days, flying from the ranch to the lodge with a float plane.
So I had a few days without driving or cooking, which was relaxing for me too!

Waiting for the bush plane to pick us up,
not a bad place to wait.
Flying Beaver
View from the plane
The 'Airport' at the Wilderness Lodge ;-)
Nice sunset at the Wilderness Lodge
Canoeing trip in the middle of nowhere
Dinner with a view at the ranch
Line dancing and cowboy hats flying
Marshmallows!
Singing camp fire songs

From the Ranch we drove further west to Bella Coola. As we saw a lot of Salmon in the creek swimming up the river, I thought it was time for some fresh salmon for dinner! Unfortunately there was a camp fire ban, so I couldn't grill the fish. But I managed to work my magic with the stove and the pan and the salmon was reaaaaally good!

In Bella Coola I got some really fresh Spring Salmon,
it was superb!
Giant Cedars
Thundering clouds passing by
From Bella Coola we took the Ferry through the fjords, or inside passage as they call it here. Arriving on Vancouver Island to spend the last days of the tour there. Whale watching was amazing, we saw about 25 orca's, a few humpback whales and some porpoises. Some of the whales came really close to the boat and a humpback whale actually showed his belly while jumping out of the water in front of us. They are hard to capture on camera, but I tried. I got the fluke (the tail) of the Humpback a little and some of the killer whales closer.

Thank you for reading again, I'm off on my next tour. Hope you are all well!
